Founded in 1973, ‘Rassegna di Studi e di Notizie’ is the magazine of the Museums and Institutes based at the Castello Sforzesco in Milan: Museum of Ancient Art, Art Gallery, Decorative Arts, Musical Instruments, Numismatic Cabinet and Medagliere, Cabinet of Drawings, Collection of Prints ‘Achille Bertarelli’, Civic Photographic Archive.

This call is addressed to those who wish to submit an unpublished contribution that may relate to Castello Sforzesco or to works held within its collections. Contributions should examine and discuss, also within the framework of a broader reflection, one or more works belonging to the museums or institutes, and may concern authors, new attributions, iconography or conservation and restoration interventions.
Proposals for contributions in Italian, English or French must be sent by 1 December 2024 to [email protected], accompanied by a brief biographical profile of the proposer (maximum 500 characters including spaces).
Confirmation of acceptance will be given by 31 December 2024.
Accepted contributions in Italian, English or French must be sent by 30 March 2025 to the above address. They must include the essay in Word format (maximum length: 60,000 characters, notes and spaces included), the iconographic material (images in tiff format, minimum 300 dpi, free of reproduction rights), an abstract (maximum 800 characters, spaces included). Editorial rules will be sent upon acceptance of the proposal.
Contributions will be evaluated anonymously by two scholars with specific expertise (double-blind peer review).
At the end of the review process, confirmation of acceptance of the submitted articles will be given by 1 July 2025.
